Nothing is Required: Trauma-Informed Gong Listening
Nothing Is Required is a trauma-informed sound podcast designed for nervous systems that live in brace mode.
Hosted by Navy Veteran and Sound Alchemist JS Worldbridger and Julie Jules Smoot this podcast offers structured gong listening sessions created to support regulation, grounding, and reduced overwhelm. Each episode is paced intentionally — with gradual entry, predictable resonance, and space to soften without pressure.
These are not performance-based meditations.
There is no emotional outcome to achieve.
There is nothing to fix.
Through Chiron Gong, planetary gong sessions, and steady vibrational sound fields, listeners are invited to practice un-bracing — gently and at their own pace.
This podcast is designed for individuals living with trauma histories, CPTSD, chronic stress, sensory sensitivity, and nervous system dysregulation who are seeking contained, non-verbal support between therapy sessions.
Nothing is required of you here.
You are not asked to go deeper than your body wants to go.
You are simply invited to listen.

I Don't Stay
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
I Don’t Stay is a grounded, boundary-centered spoken word piece about the power of leaving without explanation.
This track speaks to the moment when the body recognizes what the mind used to override—the subtle shift that signals discomfort, lack of safety, or disrespect. Instead of arguing, defending, or enduring, this piece honors the decision to simply step away.
At its core, this is not about avoidance.
It is about awareness.
It reflects the lived experience of learning to trust internal signals, to respond before overwhelm takes over, and to choose self-preservation over participation in spaces that do not feel safe.
There is no confrontation here.
No need to be understood.
Only a clear, embodied truth:
I don’t stay where I am not respected.
I don’t stay where my body says no.
I Don’t Stay is a declaration of quiet sovereignty—
a shift from endurance to choice,
from explanation to action,
from staying out of habit
to leaving with clarity.
Nothing is required.

I don't raise my voice anymore. I don't argue. I don't explain. I don't sit there and try to make someone understand what they have already shown. They don't respect. I just leave. It's not dramatic. There's no slam door, no speech, no final word that echoes in the room. Just a shift body that stands up, a hand that reaches for space, feet that already know where safety is because I have learned this. I stay I feel in my chest in my breast in the way my body tightens like it's bracing for something I've already survived so I don't stay you can keep talking you can keep watching whatever you're watching you can keep saying things that don't end as harmless no matter how casually throw them into the air. I'm not your audience there was a time I would have sat there, nodded, smiled, swallowed the discomfort like it was mine to manage, but it was my job to make the room easier for everyone else not anymore Now I listen to the first signal the slight shift the tightening the knowing and I move before it builds before it costs me before I leave my body just to stay in the room because I have done that I have stayed when I shouldn't have I have endured what I should have walked away from I have made myself smaller to survive spaces that were never safe to begin with So this this quiet leaving this is not weakness This is memory choosing something different You may not notice you may not understand why I get up why I disappear why I choose another room over sitting beside you That's fine because this is not about you This is about me not abandoning myself again I don't stay where I am not respected I don't stay where my body says no I don't stay where my presence is treated like it doesn't matter I leave and in that leaving I am not losing anything I am returning to the only place that has ever truly been life myself
