Nothing is Required: Trauma-Informed Gong Listening
Nothing Is Required is a trauma-informed sound podcast designed for nervous systems that live in brace mode.
Hosted by Navy Veteran and Sound Alchemist JS Worldbridger and Julie Jules Smoot this podcast offers structured gong listening sessions created to support regulation, grounding, and reduced overwhelm. Each episode is paced intentionally — with gradual entry, predictable resonance, and space to soften without pressure.
These are not performance-based meditations.
There is no emotional outcome to achieve.
There is nothing to fix.
Through Chiron Gong, planetary gong sessions, and steady vibrational sound fields, listeners are invited to practice un-bracing — gently and at their own pace.
This podcast is designed for individuals living with trauma histories, CPTSD, chronic stress, sensory sensitivity, and nervous system dysregulation who are seeking contained, non-verbal support between therapy sessions.
Nothing is required of you here.
You are not asked to go deeper than your body wants to go.
You are simply invited to listen.

Dreamy Escape with Chiron Gong
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
This is an hour and forty minutes of spacious, immersive listening with the Chiron Gong.
Dreamy Escape is not an instruction to leave your body or disappear. It is an invitation to soften the edges of constant vigilance — gently, and only as far as your system allows.
The Chiron Gong carries tones that feel layered, wide, and quietly powerful. In this extended session, the sound unfolds slowly, without urgency. There is no guided narrative. No breath pacing. No expectation of emotional release.
You are not required to relax.
You are not required to “go deep.”
You are not required to process anything.
You may drift.
You may stay alert.
You may notice nothing at all.
For trauma-shaped nervous systems, length can offer something valuable: time to settle without being rushed. This 1 hour and 40 minute arc allows your body to find its own rhythm with the sound — or simply coexist beside it.
Some listeners describe the Chiron Gong as spacious, oceanic, or dreamlike. Others experience grounding, containment, or subtle internal movement. All responses are valid.
This session honors autonomy first.
You may pause.
You may skip forward.
You may return to the same section repeatedly.
Dreamy Escape is not about leaving reality.
It is about experiencing sound in a way that does not demand anything from you.
Only listening.
Only space.
Only choice.
